Frequently Asked Question
- Bring any prescription glasses or a copy of your eyeglass prescription. We suggest bringing sunglasses in case we dilate your eyes.
- Please fill out the following forms:
Bring a family member or friend to stay with you. This person will help with support and will be able to drive you home as your vision may be impaired after dilation.
Be prepared to spend a few hours at the office. Our visits can involve medical history discussions, examinations, and testing. For conditions requiring immediate treatment, the visit can last the whole day. Bring snacks as you may become hungry during your wait between examinations and testing (especially if you have diabetes).
Call the office ahead of time to confirm your appointment and check to see if we are on schedule as emergencies can happen.
Write down any questions you have beforehand. You are welcome to record the condition discussion to review findings after your visit.
